In the southeast corner of the Manson Edwards Farm, just a few miles
northwest of Spencer, is a small natural wetland that has quite a diversity of wildflowers
throughout the summer. Of the several species of asters that occur in Indiana this
habitat is preferred by the lavender colored New York Aster shown here blooming
big and full during the last week of September, 2000.
