The Dogwoods bloom here in southern Indiana about the same time
male cardinals start singing themselves dizzy proclaiming
their territories for the nesting season. Although many other birds
are doing the same, male cardinals belt it out with a
little more vigor and stand out among the rest. Catching his breath
between sets this one surveys his little piece of the world
above the slow waters of Mills Creek in Owen County, Indiana.
