Summer Wildflowers
![]() |
Low, wet meadows usually provide some of my favorite native wildflowers
to paint during the hazy days of summer.
Ironweed, Joe-Pye Weed, Tickseed Sunflower and Goldenrod are
some of the predominant species found here.
They have escaped the cutting at the edge of this hayfield near Patricksburg, Indiana.
It is an ideal habitat for the Bobwhite Quail that
can be heard whistling here throughout the summer.
